Blum Naturals Cleansing Towelettes

The makeup removing towelette has been a tough product to get right for me. It feels like I’ve tried every natural brand of towelette that’s made: Burt’s Bees (sensitive and regular), Yes To (all kinds), Alba, etc. Each one of them made my eyes sting like crazy, so of course I stopped buying them.

Within the Blum line, there are several variations on the towels for different skin types. The Tea Tree Oil wipes for oily skin is one that I haven’t tried because I have normal to dry skin, so it really wouldn’t make sense for me to use it.

The Orange Peel is for exfoliation.  It was very difficult to get my makeup off with that one and the exfoliating side that was too rough for my skin.  On a positive note, the smell was wonderful.

The ones I like are Chamomile, Aloe & Cucumber, and Pro-Age with Grapeseed. These all work great in my opinion! The makeup comes off pretty easily with all of them, they have a pleasant smell, they come in a resealable package of 30, and a reasonably priced. No nasty ingredients like synthetic fragrances, so they pass the non-toxic test.

The Chamomile is for sensitive skin, so if that’s you, this is the best one. It has a very mild smell from the chamomile, and is really gentle on the skin.

The Cucumber & Aloe is for normal skin, has a slightly perfume-y (but not overwhelming) smell, and is gentle on the skin. If you prefer very mild odors you might not like this one.  Personally, I’m fine with it, because Blum Naturals does not use synthetic fragrances.

Usually I get these at TJ Maxx since our local store almost always has them. They’re also available at Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, and Vitacost. The typical cost for these is about $5 – $8 for a package of 30. It’s a great value for an effective product. Love it!
